BGHB Awards 2019

We have our winners! Read all about them! I'd like to thank our sisters at SLJ and Media Source for graciously sharing the podium at their Day of Dialog in New York. Next year we should do it at the end of the day so we can party after.

Congratulations to all the winners; I am thrilled to pieces with all of you and with our BGHB judges Monica Edinger, Kim Parker, and Cindy Ritter. The awards will be given at a ceremony at Simmons University on October 4th and I'll have more details about that in the coming months.

Richard and I got to see three shows on this trip to New York: Prom (Will & Grace meets Glee, very slight but very sweet); Oklahoma! (deconstructed to within an inch of its life and the score transformed by two-step and rockabilly adaptations of the songs, but not nearly as cheery as that might sound) and Fiddler on the Roof (in Yiddish but otherwise completely faithful to the original script and score, staged with an appealingly homely simplicity). Go see 'em all.
